Lars von Kantzow
President

TriCrown Consulting's President Lars von Kantzow brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from various industries in both international and North American markets.  He formed TriCrown Consulting in 2002 after leaving his position as president and chief executive officer of Pergo, Inc., the pioneer of laminate flooring in North America.  Lars is credited with making Pergo the leading laminate manufacturer in North America and the Pergo brand one of the most recognized in flooring.  His track record with Pergo has been labeled a case study in corporate positioning and branding.

Lars joined Pergo in Sweden in September 1990, as executive vice president of sales & marketing.  He was promoted to president and CEO in April 1992.  In the fall of 1995, Lars moved to North Carolina to personally oversee Pergo's increasing investments in North America.  The introduction of laminate flooring in the U.S. was a tremendous success, leading Pergo to open a U.S. manufacturing plant in Garner, North Carolina in 1996.

Before joining Pergo, Lars worked for Swedish Match for nine years, serving in various international marketing positions in the company's disposable lighter division, including five years in the United States. From 1977 to 1982, Lars worked in brand marketing for Procter & Gamble in Geneva, Switzerland.

In January 2006 Lars assumed the responsibilities of President and CEO of Nomacorc LLC. Based in Zebulon, North Carolina, Nomacorc is the world's leading producer of synthetic closures to the wine industry.

Lars holds a graduate degree in business administration from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He is a member of Wachovia Bank's Central Regional Board and immediate past Chairman of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas. He also serves on the National Board of Advisors for Duke Children's Hospital.
